Report a Swarm

This form is for the public to report a swarm, trap out or cut out to the WNYHP Inc for removal.

If you see a swarm, don't panic. A swarm is a process where honey bees reproduce by dividing into two separate hives. The location you see the swarm is a temporary location. The swarm is looking for a permanent place and will leave the temporary location anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days. Beekeepers love to capture swarms to add them to their managed bee yards.

Please fill out the information and click submit. You will be contacted as soon as possible about your swarm report. Again don't panic. The bees will stay there till captured or till they decide to leave on their own.

A Trap-Out or Cut-Out is anytime you want to remove honey bees from an area such as inside the walls of a house or even inside a tree.

  • Swarm - Bees hanging from a tree or bush.
Trap Out - Bees inside a tree.
Cut Out - Bees inside a house or barn
